Happy and Relaxed

Happy and relaxed - this was the brief for a last minute wedding booking we received. By last minute, I mean 24 hours notice. The couple had been let down by their other supplier but fortunately we were ready, willing and able to help. The groom requested a piece for his bride to walk down the aisle to. He also requested something from Star Wars for the reception and something Disney inspired for his niece. Everything else was up to us.

The wedding venue was Altitude London on the 29th floor of Millbank Tower in the heart of central London. The venue was sleek, light and white; a blank canvas for couples to personalize. The views of the city were stunning, even on a grey Saturday you could see all of London's famous landscapes.

During the champagne reception we performed a set consisting of jazz standards and some well-loved pop covers. There were whoops of delight as we played Stevie Wonder's Isn't She Lovely. On this occasion we finished with Don't Stop Believin' by Journey. The guests certainly seemed both happy and relaxed.

We were grateful to the couple for trusting us to choose their music for them. Understandably, couples getting married want to select the pieces we will play. But to any couple who know that they want some music but really don't know what to choose our advice would be this: simply relax and enjoy your event. Leave it up to us and we promise you you'll be delighted with what you hear.

Our thanks must go to the events team at Altitude. They looked after us so well from start to finish. Every single member of staff we met had a smile on their face and nothing was too much trouble.
